About Wild People
Hi! My name is Kylie Hansen, and I am the creator of Wild People ! This lovely site is not only my love letter to the outdoors and all its wonders, but it is also my senior capstone project at Utah Valley University, where I am earning my degree in Integrated Studies with minors in Outdoor Recreation and Digital Media.
I grew up at the base of the Wasatch Mountains with a deep love for the outdoors and all its creatures. My research has been deeply rooted in the understanding that the health of the environment and ourselves are intertwined. This digital magazine is both a celebration of nature and a guide to its profound benefits.
Through this project, I hope to spark a broader cultural shift toward valuing and protecting natural spaces. Wild People was sparked by my adventures throughout the Outdoor Recreation program, a journey filled with moments that deepened my love for wild places and the people who advocate for them. Scroll down to see some of the memories that continue to inspire Wild People and the goal it strives to achieve.
